Fantastic Horse Riding Holiday In Andlaucia

I had an amazing two weeks holiday at Caballo Blanco horse riding in Andalucia - it's certainly very different to rainy Manchester! The first thing to say is that the mountain scenery is incredible. The wildlife is also really something marvel at. During my two weeks I saw goats, lizards, dogs, geese, a snake and even a soaring eagle!

The horses are obviously the main attraction and they were all fantastic; very well-schooled, but a real mix of temperaments, so there is more or less something for everybody. It was really interesting to watch Sarah begin to train the new arrival, Terrence. I also met some lovely people who were also trekking and working at Caballo Blanco. All in all, a brilliant two weeks - I would definitely recommend you visit and see for yourself!

Through Venessa at Golearn, we got a mention in the Guardian newspaper Digital Edition. Thanks to her for the plug.

You can see her article in Golearn at http://www.golearnto.com/course/overview/1894/Horse+Riding+Break

And the Guardian article at http://www.guardian.co.uk/travel/lateoffers
Jodie Cooling - HEN DO

I am due to marry in 5 weeks from now and my bridesmaids organised a Hen weekend to remember. A total suprise I was told on the thursday night that at 9 am the next morning 8 of us would be flying out to Andalucia to ride for the weekend! Ali, Jane, Ann and Sarah looked after us fantastically!

Extremely welcoming and friendly they taxied us from the airport up a steep winding mountain road to our perfectly spanish accomodation. The next day it was the ride...4 of us embarked on a 4 hour trek on 4 fantastic horses! When i was told my steed was the fidgity one i knew i was in for an exciting ride and Domingo gave me just that! With the eagerness of a bull in a china shop we bounced up the mountain and all the way back down whilst the others steadily followed on.

Jane knew the routes well and the Mule Tracks were particularly steep in places. One thing i will say is that these horses sure know what they are doing and not once did they falt er. The next day 2 of the other 'non horse riding' girls joined usfor a 1 hour ride. With very little experience they were teamed with Molly and Bruno who knew their job and who safely and willingly took Mum and Lydi for a first timje experience of which they both thoroughly enjoyed.
I cannot reccommend the trip highly enough!

Thanks!

We had a wonderful time taking in the fresh air, gorgeous views of mountains and sea, and fell in love with all of the animals. It is well worth your time to experience all that the Caballo Blanco has to offer.

My time in the mountains exceeded my expectations and despite many
wonderful experiences riding over the years I will remember this one
very fondly. The quality of the horses I was given to ride and the care
taken on each trip to suit my level of riding and my condition on the
day ensured a wonderful holiday.

Everyone I met along the way, whether it be Ali*s friendly greeting
at the airport, Lara*s banter along the trail or your smile at the end
of hard days riding were lovely.

I have so many great memories of the days on the mountains I sometimes
prefer to imagine myself back there again. To ride above the tree line
and be engrossed by the smell of thyme as the horses tread their way
through a natural herb garden is an image that will say with me.
Equally, being able to make out the coast of Africa in the distance or
to trust my horse on a steep descent and feel the satisfaction and bond
when we reached the bottom are also wonderful experiences I will
treasure.

The accommodation you provided was also fabulous. I wish I lived and
ate that well all the time! Anne was lovely and the views over the town
provided a great way to relax after a day in the saddle.

I sincerely hope to come back and visit you again one day, this time
bringing my young daughters. I am confident that they would enjoy the
experience and there is plenty of country around that would suit their
level of riding ability.

Until then, muchas gracias and I hope to return soon.

Peter Osmotherly,
Lecturer in Physiotherapy
School of Health Sciences
Faculty of Health
The University of Newcastle
NSW 2308

Absolutely fantastic! People and horses were extremely top class, could not fault the accommodation or rides. Some of the best scenery ever with extended or shortened ride lengths, very flexible.

My favourite memory was sitting eating lunch, listening to the waterfall with the horses tethered nearby and watching Ibex jumping on the rocks close to us. Great hosts and very well catered for our Veggie needs with lots of local produce.

I would thoroughly recommend this ride too all as Sarah takes great care to full-fill all your needs
