Horse Riding Lessons In Las Alpujarras, Spain

Sue Moller BHS11T

Born in New York City of Australian parents, living most of my life in Europe, speaking Spanish, French and conversational German.I have ridden most of my life and had 1 “special pony” Reep de Cheep, and many different horses.  One “special” horse too, Chief Crazy Horse, a 16’2hh liver chestnut, 4 white stockings and a white blaze, and a wild eye!  He could qualify for the pale face classes!  He made Intermediate Eventing and Grand Prix Dressage.  Quite a feat!

I have also ridden horses in Eventing and Dressage for other people with some success.

Training with top instructors remains your best way to attain your goal in competition.  I trained with Donald Kear BHS1,  Hassa Hofman (Danish) and Eric Theilguard (Danish).  There were many others who helped me on my way.  Everyone has something to offer and it’s just a matter of picking out what suits you and your horse best.

On the whole I have found the Danish and German instructors brilliant as they go into what makes the horse tick and explain the reasons for doing things.  Hence I try to teach that way. I feel its more helpful.

I was District Commissioner for the North Cornwall Hunt Pony Club and loved watching the children attain their goals.

My experience includes:

* Running a Trekking Centre on Bodmin Moor
* Training clients for dressage up to Grand Prix level
* Training clients for Eventing up to Advanced Level
* Dressage Judge
* Working Hunter Judge
